I have been testing the Falken Nissan S15 Silvia at Falken’s testing facitlies in Southern California recently. I am finalizing the car’s initial setup and getting in some seat time with the RHD in preparation for the start of the 2009 Formula Drift’s series. This is truely an amazing car, one of the best drift chassis that I have ever driven. The start of the season is right around the corner and I am really getting excited about this year. Can’t wait to drift this car at all of the different FD tracks!

Just installed some Peak Performance multi-link rear suspension arms on the S14. I am quite pleased with the quality of the components and finish of these arms. It surpasses some of the “quality” JDM brands I have seen in the past. The green anodizing / powercoating and super high quality Aurora rod ends looks straight military spec.

Here is my S14 all freshly painted up by Garage Inc. The paint came out really clean. Garage Inc did an awesome job with all of the work on the car. Thank guys!
I ended up choosing 2 tone paint job done using a Lexus white pearl exterior and a Lexus grey metalic for the interior and engine bay. The car is fitted with a Vertex Lang Aero kit with Vertex smoked LED tail lights. The S14 is also fitted with a Seibon Matte Finish Carbon Fiber Hood. The finish on the carbon looks straight up like dry carbon! I still need to finish fitted the rest of the aero pieces and start assembly of the car. I can’t wait to see the car all hooked up already. Stay tuned for more updates!

I brought my S14 over to Garage Inc. in Burlingame, Ca for chassis prep and paint. I decided to have the chassis competely seam welded for ridgity. So all of the seams from front shock towers to rear shock towers were prepped getting it ready for welding. A friend of Garage Inc, Mike came through and did all of the welding on the entire chassis. With the car fully seam welded, they went ahead and fixed all of the minor dings on the car and reshaped the flared rear fenders back to the “stock look” and scuffed the entire car inside and out getting it ready for paint.

I just came back from awesome event over in Panama City, Panama at the Figali Convention Center called X-treme Wheels and Drift. It was an event that had a car show, bmx performers, concert with Sean Kingston and Flo Rida, and our drifting demonstration from March 7-8, 2009. This was the first time Panama has ever seen drifting before and the fans over there were going nuts over it the entire weekend.

During the summer of ’08, I stunt drove for a upcoming new movie called Crank 2: High Voltage. I performed a getaway scene as the driver for “Johnny Vang” who is running from “Chev Chelios” (Jason Statham) because he stole Chev’s heart which is in a cooler. I had to drive this Silver Civic, with a very bad blue stripping job, in reverse at high speeds down this 7 story circlar ramp. The scene was shot in mulitple segments with the 2 directors choreographing the entire chase scene. Jason was a very fun guy to work with, who amazingly did all of his own stunts. He was very intense and focused and acted much like his characters in real life.
The scene starts off at the top of the ramp structure and runs full speed all the way down to bottom where Jason jumps 1 story down onto the hood of the Civic. I then drive down the pathway while pretending to juke Jason off the hood of the car. The scene finishes with me finally tossing Jason off the car from a hard left turn onto street with me driving off leaving Jason on the ground. Jason then gets into a white Limo and rolls away.
The movie looks pretty cool. Can’t wait to see it. Comes out in theaters in April 17, 2009.

I am currently building up a personal “street style” track rhd S14 Silvia. This chassis is an actual Japan Spec Kouki Silvia K’s model. I will be mainly be using this S14 for drifting, but may serve as a mulit purpose track car for other grip events as well. This car will allow me to get more RHD seat time so that I can better prep myself for the Falken S15. So excited to be in s-chassis’s again. I would like to keep this car a bit more “street style” for the meantime rather than all out competition car. We’ll see how it turns out.
This car will be a full build so I will be putting up updates of the car in various stages of the build. Here are some early pics of the car when I first got it and the initial stage of the teardown / stripping process.
